I Scream, You Scream, and Everybody Scream for Ice Cream!

Hello Everyone! It’s Jenny here and I’m taking over The Ton’s blog today. I created a fun summer card using the Ice Cream Party Cling Background stamp and the cutest panda from the Panda Can’t Even stamp set!

Here is the card! Doesn’t it look like the panda is really enjoying his ice cream? 🙂

Please head over to The Ton blog to see how I made this card!

Thank you and have a fabulous day! 🙂

Let’s Flamingle!

Hello everyone! It’s Jenny here and I am over on The Ton blog today! Hope you could stop by! 🙂

Today, I would like to share a fun shaker card I made using our Darling Flamingo stamp setGeometric Lattice Background Cling stamp, and the Pink glitter tape from the glitter tape sample pack! It’s full of shimmer, sparkle fun, and flamingos!!! I had so much fun layer stamping these cute flamingos!

Here is the card!

Here is how I made this card:

  • I layer stamped the flamingos from our Darling Flamingos stamp set on Neenah solar white 80lb cardstock using all 3 of our Peony Collection inks for the body, and 2 inks (Found Topaz & Aspen Cocoa) from Cocoa Collection Couture Color inks for the legs. I used our Noir dye ink for the beaks. I fussy cut and put them aside.
  • I stamped the Geometric Lattice Background Cling stamp on the white cardstock with Noir ink twice (to make it more moist), I quickly applied clear embossing powder, heat set it, and cut it down to 3.75″ square.
  • To create the shaker frame, I cut down a black cardstock to 4″ square, and die cut a circle in the middle. Then I stamped the sentiment with the VersaMark ink and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I also wiped the edges with the VersaMark and heat embossed with Gold Tinsel embossing powder. I cut down an acetate sheet slightly smaller than the black cardstock, and taped it down on the back of the black panel. I also die cut a black fun foam to 3.75″ square, and adhered it on top of the acetate. I like using 3mm fun foams for shaker frames as it gives sequins more room to move inside the frame.

  • Then I put strong adhesive around the fun foam, filled it with our Medallion Gold sequins in mixed sizes, and closed the shaker frame with the lattice background.
  • On a 4.25″ square black card base, I applied our Pink Glitter tape from the sample pack around the edges. Oh I love our glitter tapes! It holds well, easy to use, and the sparkle is just so gorgeous!
  • I adhered the shaker on the cardstock, also the flamingos, and finished the card off by adding some gold thread and our gold and pink sequins. I also gave the flamingos a bit of shimmer, using Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen.

That’s it for today! Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this fun shaker card!

Have a fabulous day!

Happy Birthday, Beautiful!

Hello Everone! It’s Jenny here and I’m hoping you are having an amazing weekend!

I made a happy bright floral card for a very special friend of mine! She is so special, this is actually the second card I made for her. 🙂  I used Avery Elle’s Floral Frame again on this card. I made a card very similar to this one, colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and Polychromos pencils. You can see that card here.

Here is the card:

Here is how I made this card:

  • I stamped the floral frame with the VersaMark ink using Misti Mini tool, on the top left corner of the A2 size Arches cold press paper. I flipped it upside down and stamped again, forming a shape of a wreath. I heat embossed it with Wow Superfine embossing powder.
  • I colored the image with Stabilo 68 pens. Colors I used are: 44, 54, 50, 29, 33, and 36. I laid the colors and blended out with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen. I let it dry completely.
  • I stamped the sentiment from SimonSaysStamp Hello Beautiful set with The Ton Couture Color ink in Noir. I stamped twice to make sure it’s extra bold.
  • I trimmed the panel down to 4″x5.25″, rounded 2 corners with the corner chomper, and adhered on a A2 size black card base using Scor-tape for extra strong hold.
  •  I finished the card off by adding some Clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and Crystal Iridescent sequins from Darice.

I hope you enjoyed this card and thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend! Hugs!!!

Tropical Pineapple – heat embossing and adhering acetate sheet

Hello Everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous 4th of July weekend! 🙂

For today’s card, I used The Ton’s Stand Tall stamp set and Pineapple Cling Background stamp  with tropical theme in mind! I used the Heat Resistant Acetate to stamp the sentiment and the little pineapple image. I just love the sentiment from Stand Tall mini stamp set! 🙂

  • I scribbled 3 Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers on the Pineapple Cling Background stamp and sprayed water using the Distress Sprayer. I quickly placed an A2 size Bristol paper over the wet stamp, pressed firmly for few seconds and I carefully removed it. I blotted where the colors pooled, and dried the panel completely using the heat tool. The Zig pen colors I used are: Yellow, Pink, and Turquoise.
  • I cut down a Heat Resistant Acetate sheet to 3.5″x4.75″ and stamped the sentiment and the pineapple image with VersaMark ink using the Misti stamping tool. I also swiped the edges with VersaMark. I heat embossed with Wow Superfine Gold embossing powder. I adhered the Stick It Adhesive sheet on the back of the acetate panel. I cut the excess around the panel. I pressed the back of the panel firmly using the bone folder and carefully removed the backing sheet. I adhered the acetate panel onto the background panel and pressed firmly with the bone folder. The Stick It sheet is almost invisible behind the acetate and also on the vellum.
  • I adhered the panel on A2 sized white card base and applied Thin Gold Glitter Tape from The Ton around the edges of the card for more interest and the finished look.
  • I finished the card off by adding some Darice Crystal Iridescent sequins.

I hope you enjoyed the card and please leave comments for any questions you may have.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend! Hugs!!

Love You Always

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful Friday! I’m taking over The Ton blog today! This is my first post for The Ton and I am so excited! 🙂

For today’s card, I made a beautiful watercolor cherry blossom card using our Always Cherry Blossom stamp set. I’ve always been a big fan of our floral stamp sets, and this set is not an exception. I am also featuring our beautiful Rose Gold Embossing powder on this card. This embossing powder is so gorgeous, I quickly fell in love with it.

Here is the card:

  • I first stamped the cherry blossom branch image from the set on a A2 sized Arches cold press watercolor paper with the VersaMark ink. I heat embossed with our Rose Gold embossing powder. This powder has such a beautiful blush pink tone, it’s a perfect match for the cherry blossom image.
  • I colored heat embossed image with the Stabilo 68 pens. Colors I used are: 29,56, 33, 36, 45, and 75. I love the bright pigments of these pens. I laid pigments mostly on the center and blended them out with the Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen, instead of the clear water. This gives the image beautiful sparkles!
  • After the image was completely dry, I colored the background using the Cobalt Blue Zig Clean Color Real Brush pen. I prefer using Zig pens over Stabilo pens for coloring larger areas, as they blend out better.

  • I trimmed down a Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock to 4″x5.25″, swiped the edges with the VersaMark ink, and heat embossed with our Rose Gold embossing powder to create a bottom layer panel.
  • I trimmed the watercolor paper down to 3.75″x5″, rounded 2 corners with the Corner Chomper, and stamped the sentiment with our Noir ink. I stamped the sentiment twice (used Misti tool) and it gave a bold and crisp impression.
  • I adhered the bottom layer panel and the watercolor paper to a 4″x5.25″ sized white cardbase.
  • I finished the card off by adding some Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear sequins.

That’s it for today and I hope you enjoyed the card!

Thank you for dropping by! Have a fabulous weekend! 🙂
