For this month’s challenge, I created couple of Christmas cards using Poinsettia Banner stamp set, Poinsettia Banner Die, Holly Branch stamp set, Holly Branch Die, and Holiday Confetti stamp set. Inspired by one of the image from this month’s mood board, I stayed with the color scheme of red, green, black, and white.
Here’s the 1st card!
I started off by layer-stamping Holly Branch on a smooth white cardstock. Inks I used are Aspen Cocoa, Soft Garden Dye, Bright Fern Dye, Basil Mojito Dye, and Valentine Red Dye ink. I die cut the branch using the Coordinating die. Next, I stamped the Holiday Confetti on 2 corners of a black cardstock in Hampton White Pigment Ink. I also stamped the sentiment 4 times in same ink. I die cut the panel using the largest layer of our Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies, and adhered it onto a black A2 sized top folding card base. I popped up the branch with foam tape as well as the red sentiment strip. Sentiment is from Banner – Holiday Add-On mini stamp set and i used Noir Dye ink. I finished the card by adding some Clear Rhinestones.
Here’s the 2nd card!
I started off by stamping the Poinsettia Banner on a black cardstock in Hampton White Pigment ink. I colored the image with Luminance color pencils and heat embossed over the image with white embossing powder to help the image pop. MISTI came in handy for this technique. Then, I die cut the image using the Coordinating Die. I created the background by stamping the Holiday Confetti on a red cardstock in Hampton White Pigment ink and die cutting with the largest layer from the Double Stitched Rectangle Dies. I also stamped an additional sentiment on the bottom in Noir Dye ink. I adhered the background panel on a top folding A2 black cardbase and popped up the die cut image. I added tiny dots of gold Stickles here and there and finished the card off by adding some Clear Rhinestones and Glass Slippers Sequins.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and that I was able to inspire you to join our challenge this month! Please visit The Ton’s Challenge Blog for more info.
