Day 2 Products

First up, here’s the card I made using our new Dahlia Bouquet stamp set!

Ton_DahliaBouquet_FE1

I started off by stamping the Dahlia Bouquet image on a white smooth cardstock in our Copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink. I colored the image with various Copic markers, trimmed the panel down and adhered it on a pink A2 sized cardbase.

Ton_DahliaBouquet_CE1

Next, I stamped the sentiment on a black cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a banner strip and popped it up on the card. I dressed up the card a bit with Glass Slippers sequins to complete the card! I kept the design clean and simple for the graphic & coloring to take the main focus.

Next up, here’s the card I made using our new Coming Up Dahlias stamp set!

Ton_CUDahlia_FE1

I started off by stamping the Coming Up Dahlias image on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with Silver Pearl embossing powder and watercolored it with Stabilo 68 pens. Colors I used are: 56, 29, 58, 33, 36, 63, 44. I dropped the pigments on the petals and leaves towards the center of the flower and stems and blended them out using the Clear Sparkle pens. To highlight the background, I used Light Blue and Turquoise Green Zig markers with Aqua Brushes. I let it dry completely and die cut the panel down with the largest die from the Small Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Ton_CUDahlia_CE1

Next, on a white A2 cardbase, I adhred a mint panel cut down to slight smaller than the cardbase to create the background. Then I popped up the main panel on the card, and I tilt it a bit to create more interest. I stamped the sentiment on black carstock, heat embossed in white, cut it down to a small banner strip, and popped it up on the card. I adhered some Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear sequins and Glass Slippers Round Confetti to complete the card.

Next, I created a card using our new Wild Dahlias stamp set!

Ton_WildDahlia_FE1

I started off by stamping all the images from our new Wild Dahlias stamp set. Then, I stamped and ink blended the images using our Couture inks. I added some white does with gel pen and fussy cut them out as I didn’t have the coordinating dies at the moment.

Here are the ink colors I used for each flowers and leaves: Yellow (Amber Citrine, Lemon Drop, and Coralline Hybrid); Pink (Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink Hybrid, Pink Derby); Turquoise (Caribbean Turquoise, Hot Tourmaline); Purple (Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms); leaves (Soft Garden, Bright Fern).

Ton_WildDahlia_CE1

Next, I masked off a A2 white panel and ink blended Lemon Drop Dye, Hollywood Star Dye, Caribbean Turquoise, Dye, and Hot Tourmaline Dye inks to create the background. I also repeatedly stamped the sentiment from our new Beautiful Bettas stamp set vertically right next to the ink blended section of the panel. Then I die cut the panel using the largest layer from the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it on a white A2 cardbase. I adhered the die cut images, some popped up using the dimensional foam tape and added Clear Dew drops to finish off the card.

2018 Stamping For Autism Awareness Blog Hop

IMG_8434

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here and if you just arrived from The Ton’s Blog, you are at the right place! I am so honored to be a participant of the 2018 Stamping For Autism Awareness Blog Hop. According to my quick Google search, about one in 68 U.S. children has an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). As we must do our best to embrace our uniqueness and differences among us, I think it’s crucial to understand ASD by educating ourselves and raising awareness.

For this hop, I wanted to go with something very cheerful and uplifting in every way. Therefore, I chose our Daisy (Full View) Close Up Cling Background stamp along with a sentiment “You are amazing remember that” from the Pyrotechnics stamp set.

Here’s the card!

Ton_AADaisy_FE1

I started off stamping the Daisy (Full View) Close Up Cling Background image on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and watercolored it with Ken Oliver’s Color Burst powders. Colors I used are: Peony, Orchid, Sap Green, and Kiwi Green. I went with wet-on-wet technique by pre wetting the area, dropping the pigment toward the center of the flower, and blending it out with the Aqua Brushes. I also used the Dark Brown Zig marker for the stamen of the flower. I let the panel air dry completely.

Ton_AADaisy_CE1

Next, I trimmed the panel down to 5.5″ square and rounded off all four corners with the Corner Chomper. I popped it up on a pink 5.75″ square cardbase with fun foam and moved on to the sentiment.

Ton_AADaisy_CE2

On a smooth white cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Pyrotechnics stamp set  “You are amazing. Remember that” in our Iris Blooms Dye ink. I die cut it out using the smallest Die from the Small Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and popped it up on the card using the dimensional foam tape. I embellished with Clear Dew Drops and Glass Slippers Sequins and the card was complete!

The Ton’s prize will be a $25 gift code to our shop (gift codes only apply to The Ton branded stamps, dies, gilding and inks only) and a stamp of choice from our collection. These are two separate prizes.

Day 1 Products

Here’s the card card! I created an floral card showcasing our new Large Dahlia 1 stamp set!

Ton_LGDahlia1_FE1

I started off by stamping and gold heat embossing our new Large Dahlia 1 stamp set. Then I watercolored the images with Color Burst Powders. Colors I used are: Ultramarine Blue, Orchid, and Violet. I let it dry completely and fussy cut it out.

Ton_LGDahlia1_CE1

Next, I moved on to the background. I first die cut Geometric Circle Coverplate Die and then a frame using the 2nd & 3rd largest dies from our Small Double Stitched Rectangle dies. I glued the frame on the Geo Circle Coverplate die cut and cut off the excess. I popped up the background on a white A2 sized cardbase using the dimensional foam tape.

Ton_LGDahlia1_CE2

I adhered the Dahlia and leaves on the card and also added the sentiment from our new Beautiful Bettas stamp set (heat embossed in gold). I dressed up the card with Summer Skies and Lilac Blossoms Couture Mix and the card was done!

Next up, I created a card using our new Beautiful Bettas stamp set!

Ton_Bettas_FE1

I started off by stamping the first layer of the Bettas with Cobalt Breeze and Blue diamond Dye inks. Then I heat embossed the second layer with Magenta embossing powder and the third with Gold powder. I didn’t have the coordinating dies at the moment so I just fussy cut the Bettas and set them aside.

Ton_Bettas_CE1

Next, I masked of some parts of A2 sized Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended Lofty Mint Dye, Bright Emerald Dye, and Caribbean Turquoise Dye inks to create a soft mint/turquoise background. I let it dry completely and heat embossed the seaweed images with Silver Pearl embossing powder. I added stitched details on the panel using the largest layer from the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered the panel on a white A2 sized cardbase.

Ton_Bettas_CE2

I played around with the placement of the Bettas and stamped the sentiment in Noir Dye ink. I popped up the Bettas using the dimensional foam tape and finished the card off by adhering Clear Dew Drops.

Next, here’s the card I made using our new Large Dahlia 3 stamp set!

Ton_LGDahlia3_FE1

I started off by stamping the larger flower from the Large Dahlia 3 image on a smooth white cardstock in our Copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink. Then I colored in the image with Copic Markers. Colors I used are: YG17, YG03, YG01, Y38, YR07, YR16, Y15, Y02. I also added few dots and lines with white gel pen to add interest.

Ton_LGDahlia3_CE1

I drew in frames with black marker and stamped the sentiment from the Kind, Fierce, and Brave mini stamp set in Caviar Hyb. ink. I added bit of shadows around the frame and Dahlia with Copic Markers: BG0000, BG11, C3, C2, C1, and C00. I adhered some Key Lime, Lemon Chiffon, and Glass Slippers sequins to complete the card.

Ton_LGDahlia_CE2

Last but not least, here’s a fun and masculine card I made showcasing our new Build a Motorcycle Dies!

Ton_BuildableMoto_FE1

OMG, I had so much fun playing around with this die set! It’s like playing with paper Legos! lol! To make life a bit easier, I kept most of the dies together (instead of clipping and separating them) except the little circles. I die cut them out multiple times with red, gray, black, and Silver Foil Adhesive paper. I added bit of Light Onyx Dye ink on gray pieces and Valentine Red Dye ink around the red pieces to add bit more interest. Assembling the seat, fenders, and exhaust helped me to position rest of the smaller pieces. When I was done assembling the motorcycle, I set it aside and moved onto the background.

Ton_BuildableMoto_CE1

I pictured the motorcycle gliding through mountain roads and our Mountains stamp set was perfect to create that scene! I layer stamped the mountains image on a smooth white cardstock in Pewter Collection Couture inks and also ink blended Soft Garden Dye, Bright Fern Dye, and Basil Mojito Dye ink on a another cardstock to create bright green spring field. I adhered them together and die cut it out using the largest die from the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stamped the sentiment from Motorcycle Boss stamp set and popped up the assembled motorcycle on the card to complete the card!
