Hello, everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend! 🙂 I’m going out of town tomorrow so it’s crazy around here, busy packing and taking care of last minute things! However, I decided to write a quick blog post to share a birthday card I created for my dear friend!
For this card, I used the Peony Terrace Background Cling stamp, one of The Ton’s Summer Release 2017 collection! I love The Ton’s cling stamps, because they make it so easy to create beautiful cards! No contemplation on how to arrange the floral images, it’s all done for you already! Let me show you what I created with this beautiful image!
This card was so fun and easy to make! First, I positioned the Peony Terrace Cling Background stamp on my MISTI. Then, I scribbled some Zig markers, spritzed some water and stamped onto a watercolor paper (I used Canson XL). I let it dry completely, trimmed it down a bit on the side, and adhered it on a black A2 card base. By the way, I’ve been using the 110lb. black cardstock for my card bases, and it’s been working fabulous!
The sentiment is borrowed from The Ton’s new Beer set. I stamped on a black cardstock and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a thin banner and popped it up on the card with some 3M foam tape. I added some Dew Drops and Glass Slippers Sequins from The Ton, and my card was done!

Hello and welcome to The Ton’s Summer 2017 Release Blog Hop! It’s Jenny here, and if you just came from Marika Rahtu’s page, you are at the right place!
Hope you’ve been enjoying our Summer 2017 New Release week so far! I am so in love with our new unique and beautiful products and can’t wait to experiment and create more with them!
For today’s projects, I created 2 cards and I’m featuring our new Anemone Garden Background cling stamp, the Summer Blooms 4×6 clear stamp set, and the Penned Sentiments 4×6 clear stamp set. I decided to go with color scheme of blue and purple for both cards and were colored with my newest addiction, the Color Burst Powders. I’ll go over more details as I share each cards.
Without further ado, here’s the first card! On this card, I’m featuring our new Anemone Garden Background Cling stamp and the sentiment from our new Large Peony 4 stamp set. I absolutely adore these beautiful anemone images!!
I stamped our new Anemone Garden Background Cling stamp on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark Embossing ink. I heat embossed with Silver Pearl embossing powder and colored the entire image with the Color Burst Powders blending the pigments using the water brushes.
I first wet the areas I want to put the pigments down. Then I gave a first coat of color with the Ultramarine Blue, darkened up with Prussian Blue here and there to create the depth, and added Violet mostly around the edges to create highlights. I waited for the panel to dry completely and I trimmed it down to 5.5″ square with the trimmer. I had to make a card base out of 2 sheets of white cardstock since it was bigger than the typical A2 size card front. I just couldn’t bring myself to cut the watercolored panel down to anything smaller than that! lol!
On a 5.75″ square white card base, I first adhered blue glitter tape from our sample pack around the edges. Then I adhered the watercolored panel. I used the largest die from our (Large) Double Stitched Square Die and popped up the outer portion using the foam tape to create more interest.
Sentiment was borrowed from our new Large Peony 4 stamp set. I stamped it on a black cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a small banner and popped it up on the card with the foam tape. I added some Silver Thread under the sentiment banner to add more interest.
For the final project for this week, I used our gorgeous new Summer Blooms stamp set and the new Penned Sentiments stamp set. I had so many card ideas with the Summer Blooms set, but I simply ran out of time. Hope I could bring those ideas alive and share them with you soon! 🙂
Here’s the card!
I started the card by stamping the Summer Blooms image on the 2 corners of a watercolor cardstock in Versamark embossing ink. I heat embossed the images in silver and colored the entire image with the Color Burst powders.
The Colors I used are exactly the same as the first card: Prussian Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Violet, Sap Green, Lime Green, Lemon Yellow. However, instead of combining both blue and purple on the petals, I colored the peonies in purple and the anemones in blue. When the watercolored panel was completely dry, I trimmed it down to 4″x5.5″.
The sentiment is from our new Penned Sentiments stamp set. I stamped it on the vellum in Versamark and heat embossed in silver. Then I wrapped it around the watercolored panel and taped in down on the back.

Today we are revealing rest of the products – 3 very unique clear stamp sets, 3 Coordinating Dies, and a gorgeous background cling stamp.
I have 4 cards to share today so let’s get started!
Here is the first card! I used our new City Girls Book Life clear 4×6 stamp set for this projects. OH-MY! I am insanely in love with this set! How unique and lovely are these images?! ❤
I first stamped the girl image few times, the book with the hand, and then 3 different skirt designs in our Copic-safe Caviar Hybrid ink. Then I colored the images with various of Copic markers and fussy cut them out. I didn’t have the Coordinating dies at the moment, but it’s available at the shop now. I also stamped the sentiment (which I absolutely adore!) on a black cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a strip and put it aside.
For the next card, I used our new Sunnies Clear 4×6 clear stamp set. I love these adorable glasses images. They are so fun!!
First of all, this card has no coloring involved! However, I used 3 different glitter embossing powders for each glasses images and fussy cut them out (Coordinating dies are available at the shop now!).
To create the background, I stamped the Minor Stripes Background Cling stamp in Noir Dye ink. On a A2 sized black card base, I adhered a think strip of our Silver Glossy Adhesive Glitter paper on the left edge then adhered the striped background panel bit tilted. I cut the excess with the trimmer and popped up the glasses image on the card with the foam tape.
I stamped the sentiments in Versamark on a black cardstock and heat embossed in white. I cut them down to 2 strips and adhered them on the card also with the foam tape. I added some shimmer on the glasses with the Clear Sparkle Pens and also the Glossy Accents to add more interest. I adhered some sequins from the Black Tie Affair Couture Mix and the Black Flora sequins and the card was done!
For this card, I tried something different and I quite love how it turned out! However, it was bit difficult to capture the shine and sparkle on this card. This Peony Terrace Background cling stamp is so gorgeous and I can’t wait to try different coloring mediums and techniques with this image!
To create the background, I adhered our Gold Adhesive Foil paper on a cardstock and die cut it with the largest die from the (Large) Double Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered the vellum panel on the gold background by folding over the edge and taping it down on the back of the panel. Then I adhered the panel on a black A2 card base.
For the sentiment, I stamped the images from our new Basic Banners (from Day 2) on the vellum in Versamark, heat embossed in gold, and fussy cut it out. I added some gold thread and then popped up the sentiment banner with the foam tape just on the sides. I finished the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins.
For this last card for today, I created a soft pastel watercolored floral card using our new Watercolor Wreaths 4×6 clear stamp set.
I started the card by stamping the Watercolor Wreaths image on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark. I heat embossed the image in white and colored with Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors. I used the pastel tone pigments and created subtle pink background with lots of water around the image. When it was good and dry, I stamped the sentiment in our Noir Dye ink several times using the MISTI. I trimmed the panel down to 4″x5.5″, and tied the pink tulle in a bow around the panel.

Today we are Revealing more beautiful floral clear stamp sets! Let me introduce you our new 3 Clear Stamp sets, 2 Border Cling stamps, 5 Coordinating Dies, and a Background Cling stamp.
*The Coordinating Dies for Poppy & Sunflower Border stamps will not be available until on or about 6/16*
I can’t wait to show you what I created with these gorgeous stamps, so let’s get right to it!
Here’s the first card!
I really loved the poppies images from the last release, so I was thrilled to see the Poppy Border Cling Stamp in our Summer 2017 collection! Without any hesitation, I knew exactly what to do with it – heat emboss in gold and color with the Color Burst watercolor powder! So I did!!
I stamped the image on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark and colored with the Color Burst powders. The colors I used are: Alizarin Crimson, Marigold, Lemon Yellow, Sap Green, and Lime Green. I adore how bright and vibrant these powders are! When it was good and dry, I swiped the Versamark on the edges of the panel and heat embossed with the gold glitter embossing powder. I adhered the panel on a black cardstock with the strong double sided tape.
I stamped the sentiment (borrowed from our new Large Peony 4 stamp set) on a black cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I trimmed it down to a strip using the trimmer, added some gold dots with the gel pen, and popped it up on the card with foam tape. I added some gold thread around the sentiment strip and finished the card by adding some Medallion Gold, Glass Slippers, and Deep Sage sequins.
Moving on the the second card! Those of you who loved our sunflower stamps from the last release (including myself), will love this Sunflower Border Stamp set! No need to mask or contemplate on how to arrange the florals. Just stamp and color! 🙂
Here’s what I made!
I heat embossed this image in gold on a watercolor cardstock and colored with the Color Burst Powders. The colors I used are: Lemon Yellow,Marigold, Sap Green, Lime Green, and mix of Lemon Yellow & Violet to make brown color. I don’t own the earth toned powders so I had to be a little creative. 🙂 I also splattered some gold pigments all over the panel. When it was all good and dry, I die cut the panel using the largest and the second largest dies from out (Large) Double Stitched Rectangle Dies to create more interest and adhered it on a A2 white cardbase with the strong double sided tape.
Then I die cut our Hugs Word Die several times (one with a Gold Adhesive Glitter Paper) and glued them on top of each other to create dimension. I stamped the sentiment (borrowed from Penned Sentiments from Day1) and glued the “hugs” right below it. I added some Lemon Chiffon Sequins and the Belle’s Dress Couture Mix and the card was complete!
Oh my, you have no idea how excited I was when I found out Effie designed more Large Peony stamp sets! In my opinion, the large Peony sets are one of The Ton’s signature products, and they are actually the reason how I initially fell in love with The Ton.
Here’s the card I created with our new Large Peony 4 stamp set! (… and one of my favorite cards I created for this release week! ^.~*)
Are you familiar with watercolor stamping with Zig Markers? Basically, you mount the stamp on a clear block (or MISTI in my case), flip it over, scribble with the Zig Markers, spritz some water from a distance, then stamp it on to a watercolor cardstock. I used 026 Light Pink to stamp the peony and 041 Light Green Zig markers to stamp the leaves. Then I went in with 025 Pink & 044 Deep Green to darken up here and there to create more depth. I blended the pigments with the water brushes. If you don’t own water based markers, you could simply stamp the image in light-toned inks such as Ballet Slippers Dye of Warm Hazelnut Dye for no-line watercoloring.
When it was completely dry, I die cut the panel using the largest die from our (small) Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and mounted on a black A2 sized card base using the black fun foam. Then I stamped the sentiment (borrowed from our new Anemone Bouquet) in Versamark, heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a small strip and adhered in on the card. I finished the card by adding a Glass Slipper Confetti and couple of Dew Drops mix. I wanted the coloring to shine, so I kept the design fairly simple.
Last but not least, here’s the final card for today I created using our new Large Peony 5 clear stamp set!
I started the card by stamping the beautiful peony & leaves image from our new Large Peony 5 clear stamp set on a smooth white cardstock in our Copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink and colored them with Copic markers. The colors I used are: RV66, RV19, RV11, YG01, YG03, YG17, and YG67. Then I added more depth with color pencils. I also stamped the solid leaves images with our Crystal Garden Couture Color Collection dye inks. I fussy cut out all the images and put it aside. I didn’t have the coordinating dies, but it will be available to you tomorrow!
Then, I worked on the background panel. I stamped the Haute Stripes Background Cling stamp on a white cardstock in our Noir Dye ink several times using the MISTI (Original) stamping tool to ensure I get the dark and crisp black stripes. Then I die cut using the largest die from the (Large) Double Stitched Square Dies and also a circle in the middle using the 3rd largest layer from the (Large) Double Stitched Circle Dies. I first adhered a white cardstock sized 5.25″ square then popped up the striped background panel on top with the foam tape.
When the background was complete, I adhered all the peony and the leaves on the card (some with foam tape) and added some shimmer with the Clear Sparkle Marker. I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum, heat embossed in gold, and adhered it around the bottom of the card. I added some Matte Gold sequins and Pink Neptune Couture Mix and the card was done!

We are revealing 6 more very unique and fabulous stamp sets and 5 Coordinating Dies today!
These sets are so versatile, you could use them for masculine cards, father’s day cards, for people in armed forces, for surfers or beach lover people, beer lovers, etc! I see myself creating many cards for my friends and family with these sets, including some pun intended cards using the witty sentiments! I created 4 cards today and I’m super excited to share them with you! 🙂
Here’s the first card! I created this card using our new Beer 6×8 clear stamp set and I just think it’s absolutely a fun and unique set! 🙂
I stamped all the layer stamps from our new Beer stamp set on a A2 sized white smooth cardstock. The inks I used are: Beach Blondie, Amber Citrine, Spiced Chai, Crystal Pewter, Smoky Quartz, and Vanilla Cupcake Dye ink. It was very easy to layer them. I stamped the sentiment in our Noir Dye ink. I think the sentiment is hilarious and couldn’t resist to use it on this project! Then I trimmed the side of the panel with the trimmer and heat embossed the edges in gold to add interest.
For the second card for today, I combined our new Eagle 4×6 clear and Mountains 6×8 clear stamp sets in one card. These sets go perfectly together or individually. They are also very versatile and could be used for many different occasions.
I started the card by layer stamping the eagle image from our new Eagle image on a smooth white cardstock. The ink colors I used are: Found Topaz/Aspen Cocoa/Dark Roast (for the body), Crystal Pewter/Beach Blondie/Noir (for the head), Crystal Pewter/Smoky Quartz (for the tail), and Amber Citrine/Found Topaz/Noir (for the foot & claw). After I was done with all the stamping, I fussy cut the image. I didn’t have the Coordinating die at the moment, but it would’ve saved me a lot of time if I did!
Then I moved on the the background. I created this cool mountain background by stamping all the layers from our new Mointains stamp set in our Smoky Quartz, Aspen Cocoa, Dark Roast, and the Noir Dye ink. I also stamped the sentiment from the Eagle stamp set on the panel in Noir Dye ink. I adhered this panel on a white A2 cardbase.
For the third project, I’m featuring our new Wave 6×8 clear stamp set. This set is undeniably unique and amazing! As you stamp the each layers, the incredible surf wave comes alive in front of your eyes! This card makes me miss the summer beach so much!
It was so easy, simple, and quick to make! I see myself mass producing this card using my MISTI tool in the near future. 🙂 I started the card by stamping each layer in our Couture Color Dye inks on a smooth white cardstock. The ink colors I used are: Cali Blue, Azurite, and True Navy Dye ink. After stamping all the layers of the wave, I stamped the sentiment (borrowed from our new Fresh Cut Anemone Coord. Outlines set – revealed on Day1) in our Noir Dye ink. Then I die cut the panel using the largest layer from the (Small) Double Stitch Rectangle Dies. I made a background panel using the Glossy Fine Silver Adhesive paper and the largest layer from the (Large) Double Stitch Rectangle Dies. I adhered the background panel on the A2 sized white card base then popped the main panel on the card using the white fun foam. I finished the card by adding some Glass Slippers sequins and the Mercedes Blue sequins.
Last project for Day 2! For this card, I used one of our incentive stamp set, the Watercolor Bouquet 3×4 clear stamp set. My attempt was to create a masculine card with a floral image, but I’ll let you be the judge if I succeeded! 🙂
I started the card by stamping the image from the Watercolor Bouquet stamp set on a A2 sized smooth white cardstock in our Noir Dye ink. I quickly stamped the image repeatedly using the mini MISTI tool and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I colored the image with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in flicking motion. The Zig marker colors I used are: Blue 030, Cobalt Blue 031, Light Green 041, and Deep Green 044.
I stamped the sentiment in our Noir Dye ink. Then I drew in the frame with journaling pen and T-ruler and colored around the frame with Gray Brown 094 Zig Marker to add the depth. When it was all good and dry, I splattered some blue ink all over the panel. I also smudged the silver ink around the panel. Right before I was about to adhere the panel on the card base, I realized that my panel was bit shorter than A2. So I added some Silver Burnished foil tape on the top & bottom of the white A2 card base and adhered the main panel. I adhered some Silver Dew Drops & Clear Mix Dew Drops and card was done!

Today we are revealing 5 stamp sets, the coordinating dies, the 3 incentive mini stamp sets, and 1 incentive Couture Mix!
As you can see, the Anemones are the main focus of today’s reveal along with one fabulous sentiments stamp set. I created 3 cards with these beautiful images, each using different coloring mediums.
Here’s the first card! On this card, I’m featuring our new Anemone Bouquet 4×6 clear stamp set and the Penned Sentiments 4×6 clear stamp set. I didn’t have the Coordinating dies at the time I was creating this card, but it will be available to you on Thursday.
I stamped the Anemone Bouquet image in our Copic marker friendly Caviar Hybrid ink and colored it with the Copic markers. The colors I used are C2, C3, V12, V01, V15, V17, G28, YG67, YG17, YG03, B01, and B0000. I wanted create 2 different hues of purple and I was able to achieve that by using some cool gray markers. I added more depth to the image with color pencils and some white dots using the white gel pen. I originally planned this card to be an one layer card. However, after I was done with all the coloring, I accidentally smudged some bright blue pigments around the image. So… I had no choice but to fussy cut the image and paste it on the white cardstock. It didn’t go as planned, but I think the card turned out just fine! 🙂
The sentiment is from our new Penned Sentiments stamp set. I love love love both the fonts and the sentiments on this set! I know I will be reaching this set very often! I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white. I cut it down with the trimmer to a strip and adhered it on the card.
Moving on to the second card! This card features our Anemone Wishes 4×6 clear stamp set and I used sentiment from the Penned Sentiments 4×6 clear stamp set.
I stamped the Anemone cluster image from our new Anemone Wishes stamp set in Versamark in on a watercolor cardstock and heat embossed in white. Then I colored the image with my new favorite watercolor medium, the Color Burst powders. The colors I used are: Fuchsia, Naples Yellow, Lemon Yellow, Sap Green, and Lime Green.
When it was completely dry, I stamped the sentiment from our new Penned Sentiments stamp set in our Noir Dye ink. I used the Mini MISTI to stamp it absolutely straight on the panel. By the way, I think this sentiment is so beautiful as well as the font of it! 🙂
When all the stamping and the coloring was done, I trimmed the panel down to slightly smaller than A2 size and scored few lines using the Mini Scoring Board to create more interest. Then I adhered the panel on a black A2 sized card base and finished the card by adding some Dew Drops (Mix).
Last but not least, the third card for today! I’m featuring our Fresh Cut Anemones Coordinating Outlines 4×6 clear stamp set.
I stamped all the floral images from our new Fresh Cut Anemones Coord. Outlines stamp set on a Bristol Smooth Cardstock in Versamark and heat embossed with our gorgeous Rose Gold Embossing Powder. I colored the images with the Stabilo 68 Pens and blended the colors out with the Clear Sparkle Marker instead of clear water for sparkle and shine! The Stabilo 68 Pen colors I used are: #56, #29, #53, #36, #33. When all the images were good and dry, I fussy cut them out. It would’ve been much easier with the Coordinating dies, but it wasn’t available for me at the time.
