Poppy Bouquet

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here and I’m taking over The Ton’s blog today with this beautiful bouquet of layer stamped poppies using our Fresh Cut Poppy stamp set and the new Coordinating Die. I know there are some of you out there intimidated by layer stamping, but this set is very easy to layer. I used both Misti stamping tool and just ordinary acrylic blocks to stamp the images, and I absolutely had no issues.

Hope you could stop by at The Ton’s Blog to check out the details on this card!

Poppies & Gold!

Hello, everyone! It’s Jenny here and I’m over at The Ton’s blog today! For today’s project, I created a card with Thoughtful Poppies stamp set, which is one of my favorite stamp set from the newest release. I watercolored this beautiful image with the Zig markers and added tons of gold to it. I LOVE gold and watercoloring floral images, so it was lots fun creating this card! Hope you’d stop by at The Ton’s blog and check out the details!

For this project, I created a beautiful floral card using the Dahlia Close Up Cling stamp and the Brushed You stamp set, with green and gold in my mind. While coming up with the color scheme, I thought of the shamrocks and the pot of gold.
Let’s take a look! 🙂
ton_marchluckyfe2
  • I started the card by stamping the Dahlia Close Up Cling stamp on the Bristol Smooth cardstock in Versamark. I heat embossed the image in white. Then I colored the entire image with green and yellow Zig markers. I blended out the colors with clear sparkled pen instead of clear water. It’s one of my favorite ways to watercolor. When it was completely dry, I trimmed the panel down to 5.5″x4″ and set it aside.
  • I stamped the sentiment “so lucky to have you as my friend” from the Brushed You stamp set on the 5.5″x 5″ vellum in versamark and heat embossed in gold. I hid some strong double sided tape on the back of big “you” and wrapped in around the entire watercolor panel. I taped it on the back so it doesn’t move around.
  • I adhered strips of the Glossy Fine Gold Adhesive Glitter paper on the sides of a A2 sized card base. I adhered the main panel on the card base using fun foam and finished the card by adding some Medallion Gold sequins.
