Day 2 Products

First up, here’s the card I made using our new Dahlia Bouquet stamp set!

Ton_DahliaBouquet_FE1

I started off by stamping the Dahlia Bouquet image on a white smooth cardstock in our Copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink. I colored the image with various Copic markers, trimmed the panel down and adhered it on a pink A2 sized cardbase.

Next, I stamped the sentiment on a black cardstock in Versamark ink and heat embossed in white. I cut it down to a banner strip and popped it up on the card. I dressed up the card a bit with Glass Slippers sequins to complete the card! I kept the design clean and simple for the graphic & coloring to take the main focus.

Next up, here’s the card I made using our new Coming Up Dahlias stamp set!

Ton_CUDahlia_FE1

I started off by stamping the Coming Up Dahlias image on a watercolor cardstock in Versamark ink. I heat embossed the image with Silver Pearl embossing powder and watercolored it with Stabilo 68 pens. Colors I used are: 56, 29, 58, 33, 36, 63, 44. I dropped the pigments on the petals and leaves towards the center of the flower and stems and blended them out using the Clear Sparkle pens. To highlight the background, I used Light Blue and Turquoise Green Zig markers with Aqua Brushes. I let it dry completely and die cut the panel down with the largest die from the Small Double Stitched Rectangle Dies.

Next, on a white A2 cardbase, I adhred a mint panel cut down to slight smaller than the cardbase to create the background. Then I popped up the main panel on the card, and I tilt it a bit to create more interest. I stamped the sentiment on black carstock, heat embossed in white, cut it down to a small banner strip, and popped it up on the card. I adhered some Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear sequins and Glass Slippers Round Confetti to complete the card.

Next, I created a card using our new Wild Dahlias stamp set!

Ton_WildDahlia_FE1

I started off by stamping all the images from our new Wild Dahlias stamp set. Then, I stamped and ink blended the images using our Couture inks. I added some white does with gel pen and fussy cut them out as I didn’t have the coordinating dies at the moment.

Here are the ink colors I used for each flowers and leaves: Yellow (Amber Citrine, Lemon Drop, and Coralline Hybrid); Pink (Hollywood Star, Cosmopolitan Pink Hybrid, Pink Derby); Turquoise (Caribbean Turquoise, Hot Tourmaline); Purple (Soft Amethyst, Iris Blooms); leaves (Soft Garden, Bright Fern).

Next, I masked off a A2 white panel and ink blended Lemon Drop Dye, Hollywood Star Dye, Caribbean Turquoise, Dye, and Hot Tourmaline Dye inks to create the background. I also repeatedly stamped the sentiment from our new Beautiful Bettas stamp set vertically right next to the ink blended section of the panel. Then I die cut the panel using the largest layer from the Large Double Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it on a white A2 cardbase. I adhered the die cut images, some popped up using the dimensional foam tape and added Clear Dew drops to finish off the card.

  3. Many years ago I had an embroidery picture that
looked much like your first card. I always loved
that picture (don’t think I ever finished embroidering
it though). Have to get that stamp so I can
    re-recreate that picture.
thanks for sharing some wonderful cards.
